Help Fight The Big ‘C’
A cheque presentation evening to distribute funds raised toe he nominated charities from the late Mary Cregan’s fundraising event “Help Fight the Big ‘C’” will take place in the Longcourt Hotel, Newcastlewest on Friday evening next, May 10th at 8.30 p.m.
Vocations Sunday - The annual World Day of Prayer for Vocations will be held on Sunday, 12th May also known as “Good Shepard Sunday”. The purpose of the day is to publicly fulfil the Lord’s instructions to, “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest.” Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life. You can find many resources to promote a culture of vocations on the website of the National Vocation Office – www.vocations.ie

Remembering Zoe - The Remembering Zoe charity cycle in association with the Abbeyfeale cycling club takes place on Sunday, May 12th starting in Abbeyfeale. The cycle will pass through Rockchapel village onto the Milleen road towards Tournafulla between 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. the organisers than you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused. 
Pieta House offers counselling to families and children who have been bereaved by suicide, counselling to those who are self-harming and those who are suicidal. We also have a 24hr helpline which is 1800 247 247. We are able to offer this service from funds raised from the walk.  Help save lives by walking from Darkness Into Light on Saturday, 11th May at 4.15 a.m. Funds raised are going to Pieta House. To register go to www.darnessintolight.ie
