Ash Wednesday - Wednesday next is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent and a day of fast and abstinence. Ashes will be blessed and distributed at both evening masses.
Trócaire boxes are available in the porches of the church.
 
Confirmation
On Thursday next, 7th March, Bishop William Crean, Bishop of Cloyne will visit our parish to administer the sacrament of Confirmation to 26 children from Meelin and Rockchapel schools. The ceremony takes place in St. Peter’s Church, Rockchapel at 11.00 a.m. you are asked to keep these children in your prayers, this week and into the future. We pray that we can nourish the seeds sown at Confirmation and help these young people to become strong and proud witnesses to their faith.

Rally
A rally is taking place in Rockchapel area this weekend, 2nd & 3rd March 2019. A one-way system will be in place from Rockchapel GAA grounds on Saturday & Sunday. Please expect delays and co-operate with stewards for the rally. Thank You.

Fundraiser hosted by Mary Cregan in The Devon Inn, Fri 15th March. Music by Paddy Quilligan with special guest. The Liam O’Connor Show. Beneficiaries: Bru Columbanus , ACT( aid cancer treatment), Brain Tumor Ireland, BHOC (Bandon hyperbaric oxygen centre). Tickets for sale in local shops.
