Mass will continue to be live streamed on Facebook on the pages called “Meelin and Rockchapel Parish” on Saturdays at 8.00 p.m. and Sundays at 10.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.
We are reminded when possible to join with each other at 10.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. each day or to pray at the time that suits us.
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Face Coverings in Churches
At this time, the Government has not formally made mandatory the wearing of face coverings in churches. This is, in part, due to the fact that we are committing to maintaining 2m physical distancing between household groups and strict adherence to all government guidance on hand hygiene, cleaning and ventilation etc.
It however remains our responsibility to ensure that our churches are safe places for all who join with us. It has become increasingly clear that the wearing of face coverings, in conjunction with hand washing etc, is likely to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, thus helping to protect other. Their use is there fore one way in which we can evidence protection for the most vulnerable, support for our health workers and practical love for our neighbours.
The bishops of Ireland are now recommending and encouraging use of face coverings at all Masses and other liturgical celebrations, along with the ongoing maintenance of 2m physical distancing, from Sunday, 30th August 2020 and earlier if practicable.

Cork Help the Homeless
A few local volunteers are urgently seeking warm clothes and shoes for the Cork homeless. Both men and women clothes are needed. (Men are particularly important as these clothes always run out). Anyone who can be of assistance please contact Cathrena on 086-3312958 or get in touch through Meelin GAA social medias. All support is appreciated in these tough times, especially as Winter approaches. Thanking you in advance.
