A Memorial Mass

A Memorial Mass will be held in Rockchapel on Friday next, 24th November.  We’ll remember those whose funeral mass took place in the Church during the year and light a candle for them.  If anyone wishes to remember someone from outside the parish who died during the year.  Please give the name to Fr. Stritch.

Rockchapel/Knockaclarig Defibrillator group will hold their AGM on Tuesday night, 21st November in Rockchapel Community Centre at 8.00 p.m.  Everyone welcome.

UCC Mature Student Office Open Evening
UCC Mature Student Office Open Evening Thursday 23rd  November from 5.30-6.30 in the Boole Library Basement.  Relevant also to those currently completing QQI/FE courses.  Workshops and taster seminars from some of the many courses on offer.  Queries to 021-490 1873.  All welcome! 



IRD Duhallow Youth & Education Working Group will hold an Information Seminar on Cyberbulling for Parents, Guardians and Teachers of Children of all ages. This information Seminar will take place on Monday 20th of November in the James O’Keeffe Institute in Newmarket at 7.30pm. Topics covered on the night will include the causes of Cyberbullying, the effects of technology use on children and prevention and safe use of technology. The talk will be delivered by Pat Forde of Stopthebully.ie, Pat has worked with schools all over the country implementing his anti-bullying programme with students, staff and parents. He also featured on the RTE Television series Bullyproof with David Coleman and is a regular contributor to national media debates on the subject having had many of his articles featured in newspapers and online.
