Thank You - Fr. Stritch wishes to thank you sincerely for your station offerings and Easter offerings. Thanks also for your contributions to the door collection and for your support of Trócaire.
Any remaining Trócaire money should be handed in within the next week please. It may be dropped to the Parochial House in Meelin at any time or to the sacristy in Rockchapel after any evening mass.
A message from Trócaire - Every Monday morning at the small office we share with Trócaire partner AFOD in Juba - and where Fr James ofter sits just outside our door, with the children – staff and partners of all faiths bow their heads together at 9.30 a.m. (7.30 UK/Irish Time). They pray for peace, for all the people of South Sudan. If you have the time, it would be an honour if you would graciously add your voice and your love for humanity, to theirs.
Thank you for helping with a donation for families in South Sudan this Lent. Your generosity and compassion are truly a lifeline.
Prayer for Peace in South Sudan
God the Father of love and mercy, you created our people from every clan, tribe and nationality. If is your will that all our people should live in harmony, peace and unity, because we are all brothers and sisters. We ask forgiveness for the times we failed to live together in peace. Heal our offences and help us to reconcile with one another. Grant to our leaders your divine wisdom and help us all to promote respect, justice and true reconciliation, so that the people of South Sudan may live in unity and peace. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
