Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park
Bus will leave Meelin at 7am, Newmarket at 7.10am, Lismire at 7.25pm and Kanturk at 7.40am. Cost for bus is €15 per person. Money can be paid to Fr. Stritch before Friday,17th August. The bus will stop for refreshments at Barrack Obama Plaza. It is advisable to bring your own packed lunch and water.


Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Persons: The Diocese has a Safeguarding Committee made up of lay people and priests to ensure that the Standards of the Safeguarding Children Policy are met and applied in Parishes in the Diocese.  The procedures are there to ensure that the policy is followed, they can be found on the website www.safeguardingchildrencloyne.ie.  This website contains the procedures and forms that need to be completed in working with children.  The Policy Document for Vulnerable Persons is available on www.cloynediocese.ie and the forms needed are those in the Safeguarding Children forms. 


World Meeting of Families – Diocese of Cloyne Opening Ceremony.  We will join with every diocese in Ireland when we host an evening prayer ceremony to mark the opening of World Meeting of Families, on Tuesday 21st August at 7.30 p.m.  at St. Coleman’s Cathedral, Cobh.  Presider is Most Rev. Bishop William Crean.  Featuring the Cloyne Diocesan Choir.  Refreshments served following the ceremony at the Park Road Centre, Cobh.
