The Windmill committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday night, 3rd June in the Community Centre at 9.00 p.m. Everyone welcome.
The Twomey Family Remorial Weekend
The Twomey Family Remorial weekend take place next weekend, 6th, 7th and 8th June. The aim of the weekend is to remember Connie, Oisín and baby Elber Marie with love and promote the reality of how precious life is. The Twomey families are offering up a Thanksgiving Mass for all the people, organisations and communities that supported them since July 2012 in St. Joseph’s Church, Meelin on next Saturday at 8.00 p.m. The weekend is opened by Liam O’Connor and Micheal O’Muircheartaigh in the Hiland, on Friday at 8.30 p.m. Tickets on sale in local shops. There is also a family walk on Saturday starting in Meelin village at 5.00 p.m. other events on at the weekend include a charity cycle, a charity run, a table quiz and the weekend closes on Sunday with a football and hurling match. Reflections in Hibernian Hotel after Mass, with lunch followed by Holy Hour in the Church and then further reflection on the Eucharist.
